Cammer’s 5 second anti-adventure
Down the road, the peculiar trio walked. A large ugly (and sore looking) man, a small twiglike sapling, and a larger feminine tree. To Cammer, that was a normal sight. Realizing that they were adventurers, he quickly put on the house camouflage he had bought for this very reason.
“Engaging anti-adventurer mode” the system beeped “Loading 0.0000000001% complete”
Noooo! Now the travelers would see him! Hurry up computer!
Kick! Kick! Bam! Whirrrrrr!
Is it working?
“Loading -10% complete”
Here they come! No! Not the travelers! Too late.
“Excuse me sir, but may we rest here tonight?” The larger man said in a fake sincere voice. “We are on an adventure to find some cloud juice for my sore muscles.”
Cammer very much wanted to decline and send them off on their way, but that would break rule # 4,893 of the farmer and adventurer scenario rulebook: If a farmer or other commoner has an adventurer come to their house and ask to stay, the farmer must accept unless either of them are: crazy, drunk, crazy drunk, a witch, sand, a sandwich, nasty, or carrying an extremely contagious illness. None of them seemed to be.
“Alright,” Cammer said “I guess you can come in. You can meet my wife and tell us your story. Or, you could leave now and not have to worry about being poisoned. Heh, I, uhh, come on in...”
