Chapter 7

Confusion

Jake woke up in a dark damp cell feeling like his head would explode. The imposter Bob was there sitting in the corner muttering something. The imposter! Wait... why would he be in a cell? And he looked like the real Bob. The man turned around. “You’re awake!” He cried. Jake screamed. The man tried to calm Jake. “I will now say the secret code to show I am the real Bob.” Jake agreed to let him try. “Zing! Dingaling! Dong-doodle!” Bob and Jake said together. So Jake was sure it was Bob. Then Bob said "Ha! Tricked you!" and knocked Jake out. Jake woke up again in the cell. Bob had been an imposter, and he had figured out the secret code! Now he was alone. But he heard scratching from the cell beside him. “hello?” he called out. He was answered with screaming. “Jake! You’re alive! Its Bob! The dark ones trapped me and read my mind! Now they know everything I know!” Jake wasn’t convinced “How do I know this is you... I’ve met two people already who claim to be you!” Jake heard Bob whispering and the crackling of a radio “he’s heard too much. We must dispose of him” The radio responded back with an okay. Jake heard a button beep, and a pot fell out of the ceiling and hit him on the head. Or at least, that was what was supposed to happen. Jake ducked out of the way at the last second and the pot fell to the floor. He jumped up and punched the imposter Bob in the face through the wall. A black box fell from Bob with a crash, opening the cell door. Jake hurridly ran out, reached into Bob’s cell, and grabbed the box. Down the hall he went, to the end, into the door marked ‘THE BOSS’.
