Book 4: Lisa’s Lover
Al Ant went by Lisa Ladybug’s house every day. He had to go to work, but would always stop and say hi to Lisa. He liked Lisa.
Lisa liked Al too. She thought he was cute, and kind. She enjoyed the flowers he brought to her.
But, her parents were really mean. “My gorgeous daughter shan’t tarry with a common insect like an Ant.” her Dad Larry would say. Lisa didn’t know what that meant, but knew he didn’t like Al.
So, she would go and stand on her porch and watch Al. Other Grasshoppers tried to sing her songs, but she only liked Al. He would make pretty pictures in the sand for her.
But one day, her father came out while Al was drawing pictures. He saw Al and saw that Lisa was watching him. He was angry.
Lisa’s Dad went down to Al and yelled at him. He hit Al and made him leave their garden.
Lisa was sad. She didn’t think her Dad should be that mean. She went to her room and cried.
Later that day, Lisa came down. Her father came out too. “Lisa,” he said, “I have someone for you to meet.”
The door opened, and there stood Sam Spider. He looked normal to the other bugs, but Lisa thought that he was scary.
Her Dad started talking again. “Lisa, this is Sam. You are going to marry him, not Al. Is that clear?” Lisa nodded, then began crying again.
She spent a bad afternoon with Sam. He went to do the things he wanted to do, and made Lisa pay for it! His dinner, his toys, everything!
When she was finally alone, Lisa started planning how to get rid of Sam. She chose to run away and live with Al.
That night, the house was dark. Her parents were sleeping, and Sam had finally gone home. Lisa snuck out the door, and ran to Al’s house.
She went into Al’s room and kissed him awake. Together, they ran away to live their happy life.
The End!
