Reading Between the Lines

For this challenge, I took an already strange sentence and passed it through Google Translate to get another strange sentence. This is the story I came up with to fill up the gap inbetween

The sad pickle ate a cucumber sandwich.
He knew it was wrong. But it had to be done. He was the last one left of his family. He had to do it. When the powdered sugar had started to fall, none of them had known what was to come. Their tiny pumpkin car had been puffing along so happily, it had felt as though nothing could go wrong. But as they passed between the tall ice-cream peaks and the temperature dropped, it became clear that something was wrong. Before long, a large glob of whipped cream fell and trapped their pumpkin beneath. The door was pushed shut and they were trapped. They had to wait. First, their pepper dog. Then, their child who succumbed to hypothermia. It soon became all but him. But even then, he could not survive. Nobody found their pumpkin until days later when the ice-cream melted away. A peach reporter had to see this gruesome scene. The last pickle turned his brother into a sad sort of sandwich. It was obvious one could not hide the horror of what was really happening.
Peach is sad bad taste sandwich
