Evolution

Natural selection and evolution are great things. Without them, none of us would be the way we are today and neither would all the other wonderful assortment of creatures. But the one thing that they didn’t give us, was a way to stop...
Natural selection is a basic way of saying evolution and the scientific way of saying ‘survival of the fittest’. It basically is animals and other creatures mutating or changing with the best qualified surviving and having advanced children with those special traits. It can, with enough time, do almost anything. From making crickets louder, to creating giant quick tigers, it can do it all.
It even created smart, strong, and talented beings out of small bacteria! Yes, we are a product of natural selection. (sorry to all you religious people out there) But think. If you can make humans out of bacteria, why not make smarter and stronger beings out of something already part way there? Things that already attack and kill lots of people. Like lions. And bears. And sharks... Ahhhhh! Sorry, got carried away there.
But you get the point. We have partially solved the problem with things like hunting for the biggest and taming the fiercest. Its not like there are any forests for animals to evolve slowly without human interference... Even in places with human interaction they can still evolve. Like in your house... like that giant mosquito you saw... and that mini spider you saw in your room... yes, they can evolve too...(this is when you ask someone to sneak up behind you to scare you)
Those can and surely will evolve over time. To smaller and more deadly or larger and more deadly. They don’t realize it. They are just getting faster to get their faster prey which in turn gets faster again. Why don’t we evolve with them? Well, that question is simple. We are. Only in a different way.
Most animals live in a place where only the fastest and most deadly live. We live in a place where everyone lives no matter what. That is nice for the people who aren’t strong, or aren’t fast, or aren’t smart. They can each get a job that is good for them. Like being a farmer or scientist. Why have two half as smart people who won’t discover anything new, because they are both half as good at getting food?
So we have our specialists that are evolving but that is not the main reason we are behind. The problem is the passing down of traits. There more people there are to pass it down, well, the more people there are with that trait. This is a good math problem. You see, the less smart a person is, the more likely they are to have more less smart kids. The smarter people usually don’t have that many kids (though I’m not saying that families with lots of people aren’t smart). Think about it... When you think of a scientist, do you think of them having 20 kids running around? Or when you think of a lazy mean person sitting on their couch do you think of them having only one or two kids? (you know what they want and what it brings)
Okay, math time. There is 2 smart and 2 dumb (we’ll say s and d for conveinence). Now, 2 s have 3 kids every generation (we’ll call that a turn) and 2 d has 5 kids every turn. Next turn, the parents won’t have kids anymore so don’t count them, so now there is 3 s and 5 d. 1 s marries 1 d and they have 4 kids: 2 d’s, and 2 s’s. That leaves us with 5 s and 12 d. 1 s is a loner and runs away to do sciency things so that next turn we have 6 s and 30 d. Wow. Next turn we have 9 s and 75 d. Do I have to continue? It is a slow but sure process and will eventually overpower s by so much it is like they don’t exist.

That is so sad. But true. Even though it will go against the laws, humans are forcing anti-evolution. Soon everything will be better than us. Poor us. Now you should go die or become super smart and strong and have tons of kids. Either is fine with me. Just be careful for that giant spider...
